This short film I produced with Kathy Kieliszewski and Mitch Albom was recognized with an Emmy a few weeks ago. It recounts the life of Chika and her battle against a brain tumor.
Detroit Free Press columnist and author Mitch Albom, who operates the Have Faith Haiti orphanage where young Chika lived, brought her to America after she got sick, thinking a short treatment would allow her to return to live among her fellow children.
The Have Faith Haiti Mission does some great work raising and educating orphan Haitian youth. If so inclined you can support them as well as the Chika fund.
